RALEIGH, N.C. – October 17, 2018 – Syneos Health Communications, the network of advertising, public relations and medical communications agencies within Syneos HealthTM (NASDAQ:SYNH), today announced new digital capabilities and talent. This includes a strategic division within medical communications and the addition of key hires to provide clients with the best talent to lead them through industry transformation.

New Integrated Personalized Education and Experiences Offering

Cadent Medical Communications has launched Peer Exchange, which integrates existing digital and KOL engagement focus areas into an enhanced offering. Peer Exchange delivers personalized education and innovative experiences in both live and digital environments based on proprietary methodology that is modeled on best practices from physician behaviors and adult learning principles. Michael Collinson, SVP Digital and a recognized leader in the space with 10+ years of digital planning experience, will spearhead the division, supported by a team of planners, analysts and project managers. This includes, Devron Chambers who will lead digital projects. He brings 10 years of experience as a technologist and digital project manager, with a majority of his career spent working on the client side.

New Talent Adds to Digital HCP and Patient Engagement Solutions

The public relations agencies within Syneos Health Communications have added industry talent to their digital, social and analytics teams, bringing on additional expertise in HCP and patient engagement, as well as clinical trial recruitment marketing. The new hires include:

Steve Marino, who joined in August to lead the digital, social and analytics teams. He brings more than 25 years of digital experience working across multiple disciplines and platforms, including social strategy and engagement efforts, search marketing, CRM, CMS, and e-commerce in pharmaceutical, consumer and packaged goods, finance, energy and technology. Within that time, he held various positions at Magnet Interactive – the first national, fully digital agency in the US back in the early 90s – Ogilvy, AKQA and MSLGroup. Steve will be responsible for overall strategy and oversight of the digital, social and analytics teams, which now include the following direct reports that have recently joined:

Matthew Snodgrass brings to his role as digital and social strategy lead more than 20 years of experience in digital marketing with a concentration in health and pharmaceuticals. Matt was one of the founding members of the Association for Downloadable Media, an industry group focused on advancing the field of podcasting, where he served on the executive board. Prior to Syneos Health Communications, Matt was EVP of Digital Marketing at NextWorks, creator of the award-winning marketing tool, the Content Capsule.

Michael Pearlman leads digital patient engagement activities, where he draws upon nearly 15 years of experience in digital research methodologies and online data collection. For much of the last decade, Michael has focused exclusively on the creation and delivery of engaging, efficient clinical trial recruitment programs. At Syneos Health Communications, he provides strategic direction, recruitment program design and technical strategy to create productive global patient recruitment campaigns.

Scott Wanderman serves as the digital and social strategy lead drawing on his experience as an award-winning creative in advertising as a copywriter and digital content specialist. At Syneos Health Communications, he brings key insights and innovative thinking to launch and maintain various social campaigns and other online experiences. In 2017, Scott published his first book called “T1D Won’t Stop Me" – a book aimed at showing kids that with a positive attitude, and some creative thinking, having diabetes doesn’t have to get in the way of living your best life.

Ali Hussey leads HCP digital engagement strategy.  She brings with her more than 15 years in professional advertising and brand development, providing strategic direction on large scale product launches, and integrated campaigns.  Over that time she has built out a specialty in HCP engagement strategy as a solid foundation for execution of robust promotional campaigns for many pharma clients. Ali has experience in a wide range of therapeutic categories and initially began her work in healthcare as a medicinal chemist for an anti-viral pharmaceutical company.

Sri Nagubandi brings 17 years of experience to Syneos Health Communications, with a focus on paid and organic search marketing, social media marketing, CRO and content strategy in North America and key global markets. He recently spent the last year as Senior Vice President for iProspect, Dentsu/India, leading efforts to leverage big data and business intelligence for analysis of large data sets from their Asia Pacific clients across display, Facebook, and Google AdWords and Affiliates.

All of the new hires will be attending Digital Pharma East, October 16-19, in Philadelphia, PA. While there:

  • Matt Snodgrass and Michael Pearlman will present original research in “Effectiveness of Digital Advertising for Pharmaceutical Companies and Clinical Trial Recruitment,” on October 17 at 2:30p ET
  • Christine Soya, another member of the Digital & Social Strategy practice at Syneos Health Communications, will be the chairperson for the Patient Solutions track on October 18
  • Steve Marino will be a panelist for “The Digital Difference: New Forms of Patient Engagement” on October 18 at 12:10p ET
