West Hollywood, CA- What does the largest app for meeting new people and the NHS Blood and Transplant organization have in common? It’s challenging and frustrating waiting for a match. But many of those blood and transplant patients that are waiting for their perfect match die before an organ match is found for them. In order to encourage new organ donation registration and save future lives, the NHS and Tinder have combined forces.

Users who swipe right will match with profiles and receive the message, “If only it was that easy for those in need of a life saving organ to find a match.” These users will also be told all about the thousands of people waiting for a transplant and be encouraged to donate and register to increase the chance that future patients will receive the organ match they need.

Tinder’s huge user base combined with NHS’s large need for awareness make this unique partnership a great opportunity for both parties involved. The NHS hopes that leveraging the platform’s younger user base will allow them to tap into more younger audiences and encourage them to join their campaign.
