For many people, AI means IBM’s Watson; explicitly marketed to industry and the general public as “helping doctors to out think cancer.” In breast cancer, Watson represents a real application of AI; helping physicians work toward better patient outcomes in more than 50 hospitals in 13 countries across five continents.

So how do breast cancer patients feel about this AI future? We surveyed 150 European and American patients with breast cancer to better understand their perspective about the potential role of AI in healthcare.
